Dr. Patricia A. Resick
Dr. Resick is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University and Adjunct Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina. A pioneer in PTSD treatment, she developed Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) in 1988 and has led numerous clinical trials. Dr. Resick served as President of both the ISTSS and ABCT. She has won research and mentoring awards as well as Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Trauma Division (56) of the APA, ISTSS, and ABCT.

Dr. Candice Monson
Dr. Monson is the Founder and CEO of Nellie Health and Professor of Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University. She is recognized as an expert in traumatic stress and the use of individual and conjoint therapies for treating PTSD. Dr. Monson has published extensively on the development, evaluation, and dissemination of PTSD treatments. She has co-authored eight books, including comprehensive treatment manuals for Cognitive Processing Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioural Conjoint Therapy for PTSD.

Dr. Kathleen Chard
Dr. Kathleen Chard is the Director of the Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Training Institute and Director of the UC Health Stress Center at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Chard is recognized as an international expert on the assessment and treatment of PTSD and she is co-author of the CPT Treatment Manual. Dr. Chard has conducted numerous studies on the etiology and evidence-based treatment of PTSD in civilians, veterans and first responders.

Fanteema Barnes
Fanteema Barnes is an Afro-Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist with over 20 years of experience, practicing in New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina. She focuses on ethical non-monogamy, trauma of all types, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship issues.

Dr. Michele Bedard-Gilligan
Dr. Bedard-Gilligan is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington (UW) and a licensed clinical psychologist. At the UW, she is co-director of the Trauma Recovery and Resilience Innovations program and is associate director of the UW Center for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress.

Dr. Craig Bryan
Dr. Craig J. Bryan, PsyD, ABPP, is a board-certified clinical psychologist in cognitive behavioral psychology, and an internationally recognized expert on suicide prevention, trauma, and resilience.

Dr. Danny Derby
Dr. Derby is a clinical psychologist with a doctorate in human sexuality. In 2010, he identified a specific subtype of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) called Relationship Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (ROCD), which is one of his main areas of expertise, along with OCD, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and issues related to sexuality.

Dr. Katy Dondanville
Dr. Dondanville, Psy.D., ABPP, is a psychologist focused on improving mental health care accessibility and quality. Dr. Dondanville is the Director of the STRONG STAR Training Initiative, which has trained over 4,500 clinicians worldwide in evidence-based treatments for PTSD, suicide, and related conditions.

Dr. Guy Doron
Dr. Doron is an Associate Professor at the School of Psychology at Reichman University (IDC) Herzliya. His research focuses on Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), with a special emphasis on Relationship OCD (ROCD). He has also developed mobile CBT-based interventions for various psychological issues, including PTSD, OCD, anxiety, mood, sleep, and body image.

Dr. Jacqueline Drew
Dr. Drew is an Associate Professor with the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice and Griffith Criminology Institute, Griffith University, Australia. Based on over 25 years of experience as a police psychologist, she provides expert advice to law enforcement on organisational systems and personnel practices.

Dr. Tommaso Farma
Dr. Farma is a therapist, psychiatrist, Cognitive Processing Therapy provider, and EMDR supervisor (since 2002), as well as vice president of the EMDR Italy Association from 2003 to 2009.

Dr. Tara Galovski
Dr. Galovski is the Director of the Women’s Health Sciences Division of the National Center for PTSD and a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston University. She is a national trainer of Cognitive Processing Therapy and has trained over 1000 clinicians in CPT and treated or supervised 100s of PTSD cases.

Dr. Ellen Healy
Dr. Healy is the Training Program Manager for the VA Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Training Program, Office of Mental Health. She is an affiliate of the Women's Health Sciences Division, National Center for PTSD. She is also a Research Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. She is a CPT trainer and consultant and manages CPT training resources and coordinates regional CPT trainings for VA.

Dr. Masaya Ito
Dr. Ito earned a Ph.D. from the University of Tsukuba, focusing on clinical psychological research on authenticity, and was a postdoctoral fellow at Japan’s National Institute of Mental Health. He led Japan’s largest randomized controlled trials for the unified protocol for emotional disorders and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD.

Dr. Debra Kaysen
Dr. Kaysen is a clinical psychologist, Professor, and Chief of the Division of Public Mental Health and Population Sciences in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. She is a leading expert on adaptation of evidence-based PTSD treatments for diverse populations and for delivery outside of speciality care.

Dr. Michael Koenigs
Dr. Koenigs is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, working to improve mental healthcare and promote resilience for individuals who are currently or formerly incarcerated.

Dr. Janice Kuo
Dr. Kuo received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Washington. She is a faculty member at the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium at Palo Alto University where she is actively involved research, teaching, and supervision.

Dr. Brandi Luedtke
Dr. Luedtke is a Clinical Psychologist and consultant whose main interests include working with those impacted by trauma exposure and PTSD and in the development and dissemination of scientific-based mental health interventions.

Dr. Stefanie T. LoSavio
Dr. LoSavio is a board-certified clinical psychologist, CPT Trainer, and co-author of the CPT self-help book, Getting Unstuck from PTSD: Using Cognitive Processing Therapy to Guide Your Recovery.

Jamie Lowe
Jaime Lowe is the author of Breathing Fire, a book about female incarcerated firefighters, Mental, a memoir about lithium and bipolar disorder, and Digging for Dirt: The Life and Death of ODB, a biography of Ol' Dirty Bastard, a founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan. She is a contributing writer to the New York Times magazine and other national and international publications and is a Macdowell, Knight-Wallace, and Logan fellow.

Dr. Kelly Phipps Maieritsch
Dr. Phipps Maieritsch is a clinical psychologist and Director of the PTSD Mentoring and Implementation Program, which supports PTSD specialty programs throughout VA. She specializes in questions related to assessment and treatment of PTSD, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and outpatient PTSD program management and PTSD-related metrics.

Dr. Reg Nixon
Dr. Nixon is currently a Professor in Psychology at Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia, and past Director (interim) of the Flinders Institute for Mental Health and Wellbeing. He is an accredited trainer of Cognitive Processing Therapy and has led or contributed to multiple clinical trials and dissemination projects of CPT in Australia.

Dr. Phil Shnaider
Dr. Shnaider received his Ph.D. from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) in 2016. He is a clinical psychologist in private practice and an assistant professor (PT) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University.

Mary Simmerling
Mary Simmerling is an Assistant Professor at Cornell University and a Senior Research Advisor at Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network (RAINN). She is the founder of Write Where We Belong, a multifaceted Canadian literary and arts organization focused on using writing as a tool for social justice and healing trauma.

Benjamin Sleight
Benjamin Sleight, MS, is a counselor serving Hawai'i. He earned his Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He focuses on providing culturally humble evidence-based treatments to the intersections of Oahu’s local, veteran, and military family communities.

Dr. Regina Steil
Dr. Steil is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Goethe University of Frankfurt, and scientific director of the Center for Psychotherapy and of the Postgraduate Clinical Training of the Goethe University for adult psychotherapists. Along with colleagues, she developed and evaluated new treatments for severe PTSD and anxiety disorders, including DBT-PTSD and D-CPT for childhood abuse-related PTSD.

Dr. Shannon Wiltsey Stirman
Dr. Stirman is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford and a Psychologist at the National Center for PTSD's Dissemination and Training Division.

Dr. Johanna Thompson-Hollands
Dr. Thompson-Hollands is an Associate Professor and Clinical Psychologist with substantial experience in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) assessment and treatment, as well as the role of family/social factors in psychopathology and treatment.

Dr. Jennifer Wachen
Dr. Wachen is a Clinical Research Psychologist in the Women’s Health Sciences Division of the National Center for PTSD and an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston University Chobanian and Avedesian School of Medicine. Her research focuses on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of CPT, including novel delivery modalities such as massed treatment.

Dr. Anne Wagner
Dr. Wagner, C.Psych., is a clinical psychologist, speaker, writer and treatment development researcher from Toronto, Canada. She is the lead investigator of the pilot trial of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD + MDMA and the randomized trial of Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for PTSD (CBCT) + MDMA, a couples therapy for PTSD.

Dr. Amy M. Williams
Dr. Williams is the Headstrong Project’s Chief Clinical Officer and a clinical psychologist whose expertise lies in the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She has conducted research on, and trained therapists in, effective treatments for PTSD in both veteran/military and civilian populations for over 30 years.

Robert Zahra
Robert Zahra served as an Advanced Care Paramedic for nearly twenty years, providing critical front-line emergency medical service within his community. During his career, he played an integral role in pioneering mobile integrated health initiatives including the Mental Health and Addictions Response Team, palliative care paramedic program, and spearheading his region’s first overdose prevention site, that was medically supervised solely by paramedics.

Samantha Zahra
Samantha Zahra is a Registered Psychotherapist and the Chief Clinical Officer at Nellie Health. With eleven years of experience as a Primary Care Paramedic, her personal journey with PTSD highlighted the challenges first responders face in accessing mental health support. This has fueled her passion for ensuring that frontline personnel have access to evidence-based therapies such as CPT.

Dr. Melissa J. Zielinski
Dr. Zielinski is an associate professor and clinical psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she directs the Health and the Legal System (HEALS) Research, Practice, and Policy Lab and serves as Associate Director of the Community Engagement Core.
